Five Star Chicken In Thailand - How Good is it?
I've known about the existence of 5 Star Chicken in Thailand for many years, but the first time I tried it at a stall in Lom Khao, it wasn't that great.
Another one opened up in Lom Sak, near the 711, just 2 minutes from my house. I gave it a try since I love fried chicken but the nearest KFC is 10 minutes away and the fried chicken being sold near my house tastes days old.
Anyways, the fried chicken from this new 5 Star near my house tastes juicy, fresh, with a crispy coating and not too oily. 59 baht for a huge piece of chicken that's honestly nearly double the size of a piece of chicken from KFC that costs 40 baht.
They also sell wraps with sour cream, and whole barbecue chickens (yes, they also do barbecue chicken).
I did a YouTube video explaining the history of 5 Star and what they sell.
The crispy coating tastes like Chinese 5 spice. They first 5 Star store opened in 1985.
