My 2 houses in Thailand

My blogs since 2012 have been about wanting to get Thai citizenship and buy land in Thailand and build a house. Well, I got Thai citizenship in late 2012, but I bought my first block of land in 2019.

Laugh at the house if you want, but the big block of land it's on (nearly the length of a football field), cost only 110 000 baht, and has a chanote title.

Building the house cost 200 000 baht. It doesn't look pretty, but it's strong and is cool inside during these hot Thai summers, because it's made out of cement.

If I gave the house a coat of orange or yellow paint, it would look much nicer, but I haven't done so because I don't live there much of the time, because I mostly live in my 2nd house.

Yes, you can see the image is photo shopped, I wanted to show the house, outdoor shelter and store in one photo.

Below is my 2nd house, it's on land that I paid 450 000 baht for, only 15 minutes from a city named Lom Sak, that has night life.

The 2nd house cost me 280 000 baht to build.

The photo doesn't show it on a great scale, but there's views of the mountains behind my 2nd house, and in the morning or evening when there's a sunrise/sunset, it looks stunning.

My wife, our son, and a whole bunch of her family members live in the first house I built, so I built a 2nd as as a quiet place I can go to, plus I can keep my vintage toys and games safe from my son and nieces in my 2nd house.

Truthfully, my father paid 70% of the money to buy the 2nd block of land, because he wants to retire in Thailand, and he wants a relaxing life in rural Thailand, away from from the tourist scene.

I saw this as a good opportunity to build my 2nd house.

As you can see, I take great pride in Thailand, and everyday I live in Thailand feels like a blessing.
